Woonona Beach is a popular patrolled surf beach known for its consistent surf breaks.     It is located between the Wollongong suburbs of Woonona and Bellambi, on the South Coast NSW. At the northern end of the beach, features an ocean rock pool, on an elevated rock platform with scenic views.

The name "Woonona" is from a Dharawal word, believed to mean "place of young wallabies".
